On the morning of May 6th, WXIT held a cooperation signing ceremony with Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. and the unveiling ceremony of the establishment of “Zhenghe College”. Wu Wennan, Executive Vice General Manager, Ji Hengyu, Deputy General Manager of of Delong, Gong Fanghong, Secretary of the CPC Committee of WXIT, and heads of relevant department attended the signing and unveiling ceremony.
In his speech, Secretary Gong Fanghong said that the “the Belt and Road” initiative provided new opportunities for international cooperation in China’s vocational education. Taking advantage of the national development trend, WXIT has jointly carried out talent training, staff training, technology research and development and other projects, contributing to the development of vocational education in the “the Belt and Road” countries. In recent years, WXIT has made many achievements in the construction of the “Double High Plan” (High-level Vocational Schools and Professional Construction Plans with Chinese characteristics) and the creation of a national vocational education hub. We have achieved remarkable results in our sincere cooperation with Delong Company. We hope that “Zhenghe College” can consolidate the advantages of WXIT’s international education and Delong Company’s overseas industry development. On the basis of consolidating international cooperation between colleges and enterprises and cultivating international talents, we can deeply tap into the potential of joint scientific research cooperation, expand cooperation space, provide customized and refined services, and further promote the high-quality development of school enterprise cooperation.
Executive Vice General Manager of Delong, Wu Wennan, stated in his speech that Delong Company and WXIT stood together through thick and thin. Through the establishment of “Zhenghe College”, we hope to leverage the common advantages of both parties, deepen cooperation, further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, continuously explore new cooperation models, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Vice General Manager Ji Hengyu pointed out that the development, notion and pattern of enterprises is highly determined by the strategies. We believes that in the trend of digitization, networking, and intelligence, the deep cooperation between WXIT and Delong Company will be able to build multi-level and diverse education and training for Chinese and Indonesian employees, strengthen the integration of Chinese and Indonesian cultures, and improve the management level of overseas projects of Delong.
After the symposium, WXIT signed a new strategic cooperation agreement with Delong Company. Secretary Gong Fanghong and Executive Deputy General Manager Wu Wennan unveiled the sign of “Zhenghe College”. The establishment of Zhenghe College will fully utilize WXIT’s high-quality educational resources, serve Chinese enterprises “going global”, train local technical and skilled talents who are familiar with Chinese technologies, products, standards and brands, and form professional teaching standards and core curriculum standards recognized by the “the Belt and Road” countries, solve the bottleneck of serious shortage of localized talents from the root, and improve the development of Delong’s overseas investment and cooperation business, which will become a new business card for the internationalization and high-quality development of vocational education in Jiangsu.
