On the morning of January 8, the on-line class opening ceremony of National Training Project “Improving Application ability of Information Technology in Equipment Manufacturing” for vocational college teacher in Sichuan, undertaken by School of Mechanical Technology, was held. Zhou Guijin, school president, Dui Pin, dean of School of Continuing Education, leaders and training managers of School of Mechanical Technology, as well as 15 students from vocational colleges in Sichuan attended the opening ceremony presided over by Yu Jincheng, deputy dean of School of Mechanical Technology.
In the opening speech, Zhou Guijin expressed a warm welcome to all the trainees participating in the training and briefly introduced the construction and development of the school in recent years. He hoped that the trainees would cherish this training opportunity, gain rich knowledge, get to know, communicate, learn from each other and enhance the ability of information-based teaching through this training. Yu Jincheng introduced the overall planning and arrangement of the training project, emphasized the results-oriented assessment and evaluation, and noted that School of Mechanical Technology would go all out in providing logistic support for this training.
This training focuses on three aspects: key professional quality, information-based teaching ability and information technology application ability of teachers based on the concept of “teacher morality guidance, standard driven, and professional technology integration”, so as to help trainees become excellent teachers with noble teaching ethics, modern vocational education concepts, strong teaching skills, and solid information technology skills that meet the needs of high-quality development of vocational education in China.
The training consists of two phases. The first one is online training that will end in mid-January 2023, and the second one is offline training that will begin in early February 2023. After the opening ceremony, Zhou Guijin gave a special lecture entitled Connotation and Path of the Reform of “Teachers, Teaching Materials, and Teaching Methods” in Vocational Colleges.
