On March 23rd, Yoichi Terashita, the president of Kyoto Computer College and his team visited the institute. Zhu Aisheng, Party Secretary of WXIT, welcomed the delegation. Heads of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, College of Art and Design, School of Internet of Things, Foreign Language and Tourism School attended the meeting. After the meeting, President Yoichi Terashita participated in the Forum of Sino-Japanese Education Cooperation Projects and interacted with teachers and students from the School of Art and Design.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the history of cooperation and expressed the desire for further cooperation and exchanges. They discussed the geographical advantages, professional advantages and areas of cooperation between the two sides, and were willing to encourage and support cooperation in international exchanges, academic research and resource sharing. President Yoichi Terashita also had a thorough discussion with the heads of the School of Internet of Things Technology and the College of Foreign Languages and Tourism on expanding the areas of cooperation.
Then, President Yoichi Sishita came to the School of Art and Design to participate in the Forum of Sino-Japanese Education Cooperation Projects. The director of the School of Art and Design briefed the President on the current situation of the project, and the student representatives shared their learning experience. President Yoichi Terashita introduced the students' study plan and living arrangements in Japan, specifically the 2 + 1 program of Sino-Japanese digital media design and production (game art design) and the follow-up 2 + 1 + 2 program as well as the short-term training program for students in Japan, expressing full confidence and high expectation for the projects.
Under the 2 + 1 program of Sino-Japanese digital media design and production (game art design), the students will learn at WXIT for the first two years, as long as their academic performance meet the requirements, they can go to Japan and learn in Kyoto Computer College for another year. After that, if their academic achievements fall in line with the requirements, they can obtain diploma of both WXIT and Kyoto Computer College. If the students want to further their study, they can directly pursue the master degree at the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics in Japan.
